Tiny apartment but GIANT spirit - that's our Elder Merrill

Sep. 16, 2013 ~ It is that wonderful time of the week - Monday and a letter from Elder Merrill - yeah!!!!

Heya! How ya doing?  I´m good. The week went by kinda quickly for me too. The mission really is getting faster and faster every day. Did you know that I´ve been in the mission for 18 months now? That sounds so crazy as I write it to you! 3/4 of the mission gone! Just like that!
I´m excited to see you guys again, but I´m gonna miss the mission. I haven´t had such a fun time ever since....ever. (way to go Elder Merrill J)
Yep, it´s a pretty big city. Nowhere near as big as Tucson, but I have to walk all over the place, so it gets pretty crazy. The shoes that you sent me off with, I still have! I haven´t damaged them too much, but they´re pretty worn out right now. I think that they´ll last until the end of the mission though. Sorry, I don´t know the street number, I´ll look it up and send it to you next week. I´ve already been transferred and I´m working in Necochea now.  We receive transfers Saturday and then we go to our next area Sunday or Monday. Not a whole lot of time to say goodbye to people really, but if I want to visit people, it´s not like I´m super far away. I live in an apartment right now, it´s actually kind of tiny. I haven´t got a whole lot of room in there and it´s easy to get a little cabin fever. This one is by far the smallest, and it´s weird because I have to wash all of my clothes by hand here. But, I´m cool with it though, if life is hard in the mission it´s actually easy to blow off as nothing big. Funny how that happens.
I´m glad the house isn´t taking forever to repair like that movie you told me about. LOL. So maybe next Monday it should be finished? Or the one after perhaps? It’s all good whatever day.
Thanks for helping me feel better, it really does make me have some elevated spirits hearing that even though things aren´t going perfectly, things could be worse too. And that it´s also unrealistic to think that we won´t have a life without challenges or difficulties.
No worries about the birthday package. How do you misplace a big box though? Did someone throw it away? Or put it in the garage? I feel bad that you prepared everything and now you have to do it again. I´ll feel worse if you find it after you sent it too. I´m sure you have, but you´ve looked everywhere?
Hey, I gotta go now, but I want to thank you for all that you do and say, it keeps me going on the mission and I hope you know how much I love you and the family! I´ll try my best to help others always and I hope that you all are doing fine back home! I pray for you guys always and I want you to know that I´m fine here! See ya next week! Love you!
