saying hi thanks to email :)

June 24, 2013 – email chat with Elder Ethan Merrill
Mom:   Hey there son!!! WOOHOO, our weekly letter from our totally awesome Elder Ethan Merrill is here :) I'm reading it now, and I want you to know I'm here to say hi and that I LOVE ya lots!!! :) Love Mom
Elder  Merrill:  Heya!  I’m going to finish up writing to Dad and James and then I’ll write ya back. Love ya!
Mom:  Sounds good son. I helped Jess move a few boxes to their new place. It's about 25 minutes away, not terribly far. It's got a little more room than their old place and a good bit of yard space for the dog to walk around. I am going to run to CDO to pick up Kyle's girlfriend and should be back in about 15 min. I'll let you know as soon as I'm back. LOVE YOU!!!! :) Mom
Hey there, I'm back if you are still around :) LOVE YOU
Elder Merrill:  still here, I have about 15 minutes or so, Kyle and his girlfriend are
both home then? Stuart too maybe?
Mom:  Hi son! Stuart is at work today; he usually works from 9-5 and usually works 4 days a week, sometimes 3 if it's a slow week at the movies.  Yep, Kyle and Kelsey are here now, I can hear them playing Halo or something. She is on her 2nd summer school class. She is taking some now so she has free time for music. I think she said she plays the piano for the jazz ensemble. She plays the piano very very well.  What else, I am really looking forward to spending the next few weeks with Dad. He sounds very happy about it too. So you are the senior companion then, is that what you were saying in your letter? How are your investigators doing? I sure think you are truly marvelous!!! Your dad and I are just amazed by how awesome you are! We love you dearly!!! :) Love YOU! Mom
Elder Merrill:  well, that´s good that Stuart works, I bet that he likes working at the movies. (at least I hope he does.) That´s funny that this Kelsey plays halo, and it sounds that she puts a lot of effort into school, or none at all, if she is taking summer school. I´ll go with the former.  I can actually play a lot of hymns on the piano. It´s nothing fancy, but I can do it. I try to get some time to practice on Tuesday and Sunday when we´re in the church. I´m not senior companion, truth is it really doesn´t exist, but I know the area more, and since the time difference isn´t much, I ´m usually leading. We have a lot of investigators at the moment, it´s just getting them to read and pray and come to church now I guess. Thanks for always encouraging me and giving me your support! How’s life back home?
Mom:  Yeah, Stuart does like working at the theater. The manager likes him a lot, and actually hired him because Stuart asked for Sundays off to go to church and that impressed him. Funny enough, since hiring Stuart, he has hired like 3 or 4 other young LDS men. Kelsey is a smart girl, very talented. She is technically a junior this year but will probably graduate at the end of this year because she will have all the credits she needs. She isn't sure what she is going to do after that yet.

WOW, I don't know if I remembered that you play the hymns on the piano over there. That is so totally cool to me!!! How did that come about to happen? Did you just start practicing one day? Wow, that is cool, I mean REALLY cool. You are incredible! Things here at home are good. A lot of people are out for summer trips and stuff so it's a little sparse at sacrament but that will pick back up in August. Still pretty hot, no rain yet. Dad says he has been getting a lot of rain this past week and the frogs sound like a jumbo jet, they croak so loudly after a rain. How is your weather?
Elder Merrill:  That is pretty cool about hiring Stuart like that.  Yeah, I could sort of play before the mission, but not very well, with practice, I began to be able to play simple versions of hymns.

Hey, I´m SUPER SORRY, but I have to keep this short because my time is up, and I have to go. I love you lots and just know that I´m keeping warm! I can´t stay to read your reply, I love you all and tell everyone that I say hi then! I love you all! See ya next week! Bye!
