Who steals from a missionary??? Mom is indignant!

July  1, 2013-  They robbed me – that was the title of Elder Merrill’s subject line in this week’s letter home! YIKES! Slight panic from Mom until she reads that he is fine, which is the important thing truly!
Yep.  It´s honestly not as bad as it sounds. Here’s what happened: We went to another cyber-cafe, (there´s a lot here, places where you can go to pay and use a computer) and while I was writing you, my coat was hanging on the back of my chair. I don´t know if it fell down or maybe if it was because I was leaning forward towards the computer screen, but when the time came to leave, I got up and noticed that my coat wasn´t on the seat or on the ground. I looked for it for about 15 seconds or so, then I realized, ´´I think somebody stole my coat!´´ I asked at the front desk and they didn´t have any lost coats or nothing, but well, I was coatless that day. It’s all good, don´t worry, My companion is lending me an extra coat that he has, so I´m actually quite warm. July will be cold and then August comes and things will get to being warm again and I won´t need a coat for the rest of the mission. But, I was robbed. Just like that.
How’s your week been?  I know that North Carolina is probably hot right now, but you and dad actually told me that it´s a rather rainy summer over there. I hope that you get to do a lot of exploring while in North Carolina, I saw the pictures that you sent me. I like the one of the military boat (the battleship USS North Carolina – Dad is a HUGE battleship fan), people get to get on it and see what all the guns and cabins look like firsthand huh?
It sounds crazy hot in Tucson! Here, complete opposite. It´s actually not too terribly cold to tell you the truth. We´re almost in the heart of winter here but it´s not as bad as it could be. I looked at the weather and over the next few days we´re supposed to have days that are 62-64 degrees in Fahrenheit. I´m alright with that.    I hope that you guys get to have a good 4th of July even though the big one that you were talking about got cancelled. I guess I´ll have to wait for Christmas to see fireworks. In case you forgot, they set off fireworks for Christmas and New Years here. Well, that should be fun. I´m still taking lots of pictures.
Well, that´s about it for now. I sure hope that you guys get to enjoy North Carolina a little! This is your last week there right? Or are you there for a little bit of next week too? Well, what ever the case, just know that you´re all in my thoughts and I love you lots! Bye!
